The BEST way to prepare for a campaign launch!
Today I am going to let you in on a secret. We would all like to have a great outcome for our campaigns, and that is why we are here on the AlumniKrowd website. Often it takes a lot of work to put together a killer AlumniKrowd crowdfunding campaign. That is true, but the best way to prepare for a launch is actually super easy.
If you’ve been following AlumniKrowd or any other crowdfunding services like BackaBuddy, ThundaFund, Jumpstarter, CrowdCrux, GoFundMe, Kickstarter, WeFunder or any others for a while, you might already be doing it.
The best way to prepare for the launch of your own campaign is to study other people’s success stories!
Success stories are great. They show us the power of hard work and prove that it is possible for creative communities and individual creators to achieve their goals.
But let’s be honest: they can also make us a little jealous.
Sometimes when you hear about someone else raising a ton of money for a project or they are starting a really successful business, it’s easy to wonder what do they have that you don’t, or what did they put into their campaign that you might have overlooked.
The answer is not that they are smarter or better than you.
Often, the truth is that they had to fail a few times before they succeeded. Or maybe they had to do a ton of research to figure out what worked and what didn’t.
The great news is you don’t have to go through the same journey to find out what they know. You can just listen to their story and pick up tips and clues between the lines.
On his podcasts, renowned crowdfunding enthusiast, and empowerer, Salvador Briggman, says that he hears from some amazing people that have had huge success with online crowdfunding for their projects.
Most of them are ordinary people like you and me, but they know how to run a great campaign because they’ve done it before!
I’ve learned so much about crowdfunding from talking to people who have done it and achieved sucesses and that has inspired me to be a promotor of crowdfunding, especially in the environment of alumni and enthusiasts wanting to strengthen their communities.
A lot of those that have already achieved great sucesses are most happy to lay out all the strategies they used to crush their campaigns.
Here are a couple of recent episodes where master crowd-funders shared some totally priceless wisdom with Salvador Briggman, the man that just loves the concept of crowdfunding, which he has captured in some great episodes on his YouTube channel:

Let us think of crowdfunding like it is kind of like cooking a new dish:
You can try to throw a bunch of ingredients together and hope it comes out all right, or you can follow a recipe written by someone who has done it before.
You’ll probably have a little more luck with the latter.
